Top 29 Aphrodisiacs – List of Aphrodisiac Foods for Better Sex by CARINA HSIEH

While you might’ve heard in passing that oysters are aphrodisiacs, there are also a ton of other less-exotic foods rumored to have aphrodisiac qualities that you probably eat every day (no offense to the daily oyster crowd).

It’s also important to note that not everyone will respond to aphrodisiac foods the same way. Marta Montenegro, a Miami-based nutrition fertility lifestyles specialist at IVFMD, explains that men might look for proteins and fats to boost alertness, while women turn to carbohydrates to calm nerves and relax.

Here, experts get real about some of the most popular rumored aphrodisiacs and some foods that might actually lessen your sex drive.

Maca

According to Jenni Skyler, PhD, LMFT, CST, an AASECT certified sex therapist, sexologist, and licensed marriage and family therapist for AdamEve.com, “Maca, the Incan root that is made into a popular tea, is also known as Peru’s ‘natural Viagra’ and is thought to increase energy, stamina, fertility, and libido.”

Montenegro notes that while the verdict isn’t in yet on scientific research for Maca, however, “the plant’s roots are rich in magnesium and fiber which are good for improving stamina and well-being.”

Pumpkin

Marta Montenegro explains that pumpkin is high in fiber and has potassium, “both good for stamina” as well as magnesium, which can help calm nerves and muscles.

Champagne

Steve McGough, who has a doctorate in sexology and a BS in biochemistry, suggests that Champagne as an aphrodisiac has more to do with getting in the mood for a special occasion than for the actual science behind the bubbles. In fact, he adds, “Studies have shown that for women

Tantra for beginners: 8 easy steps to learn tantra meditation

Tantra for beginners: learn tantra meditation

Tantra for beginners is exciting! It’s already a long time ago that we did our first tantra meditation, but I still remember it. Wow, from the critical mind to the depths of my heart. For the first time, I FELT my body, my energy, my heart, my love. I FELT intimate with everyone around me. It was mind-blowing. I hope it will be the same for you.

Tantra for beginners

So where to start? Well, first you need to know if you are really looking for tantra.

Step 1: why tantra?

When starting with tantra it is important that you know where you’re going. So there are a couple of questions you need to ask yourself.

  • Are you sure you want tantra? Maybe mindfulness, yoga or biodanza (or Reiki, ayahuasca, shamanism) is better suited for you.
  • If tantra, what kind of tantra are you interested in? Red, White or Pink tantra?
  • Are you looking for an (exciting) workshop or do you want to (safe) practices at home?
  • Are you single and/or looking for couples meditation?
  • Do you see Tantra as fun or as spiritual/personal development?

Tantra for beginners: tantra themesStep 2: know the essence of Tantra

Tantra is growing in love and consciousness. So when you start with tantra you must be willing to face your conditioning and personal limitations for growth. In tantra themes, you can read about the six themes that are important in Tantra. The big difference with mindfulness is that tantra is very bodily oriented. Sensing/feeling/touching are key to Tantra. Tantra is also more Heartfulness then Mindfulness.

The big difference with yoga is the approach to meditation. Yoga is discipline, purifying body and mind. Feeling less, learning to live an almost ascetic life. Tantra is living from the heart. In the end Tantra is surrender, accepting life as it is and accepting all there is. Tantra is all for (conscious) indulgence. So power up…

Maybe you know Biodanza. It’s a beautiful form of dancing. It works with energy and movement. The difference with tantra is that tantra works also with (kundalini) energy and movement, but INSIDE you. So, yes in tantra we dance, but the real dance is inside. The focus is on the energy moving inside your body and between partners (energy circles).

Step 3: red, white or pink tantra?

There are many different types of tantra. White tantra looks like mindfulness, but then with the bodily/heart aspects as well. Red Tantra goes beyond that and involves sexual activity and lovemaking (also in the workshops). Red Tantra really breaks through the taboo on sex. So are you looking for sexually oriented tantra? Then search for red tantra, look for tantra sex (workshops). Read more via the link below.

White, red, pink, black tantra: the colors of tantra

Step 4: learn the Tantra basics

Tantra for beginners: tantra basicsFor Tantra everything is sacred. So whether you are at home or in a workshop, treat the place as if it’s a temple. Make it a temple. Treat yourself also as sacred. Shower, cleanse yourself, physically, emotionally. Make yourself beautiful, wear a longhi. See yourself, really see your partner, see all the beautiful people around you. Empower them.

Hugging is great. It fulfills the human need for body/skin contact and produces oxytocin, the happiness hormone. In tantra, we have another beautiful pose: to sit (naked) in Shiva/Shakti position. Every chakra is aligned, so energy can flow freely between meditation partners.

Step 5 start meditating

Let me first explain what we mean with meditation. It’s not that you have to sit still on a cushion for an hour. No meditation is everything that you do with awareness. So first thing maybe is… Relax, slow down for a minute, Then:

  1. Take a breather, have some time to breathe consciously. If you have a partner breath in sync.
  2. Awaken your senses. Listen to what can be heard, taste what you drink/eat with full awareness.
  3. Do the simple heart meditation.  It’s free! Just breath and focus on (the love in) your heart.
  4. Boost your energy! Dance, jump around, move your body. Especially your pelvis. Shake it!
  5. Do some eye-gazing. Look into the candle-light (or the eyes of your partner). Keep your eyes still.

Step 6 enjoy intimacy

Whether at home or in a workshop focussing on your heart will result in an intimate connection. You will feel more than oke with yourself. You will love the intimacy with your (rotating) meditation partner. Intimacy always proceeds to sexuality (at least that’s how we feel). Sex without love is nothing more then a workout, sex with love and awareness becomes lovemaking, sacred sex. So first and for all, enjoy intimacy. Overcome the tension and discomfort that you’re maybe having. Thoughts will come up, let them pass. Maybe emotions will arise, let them be. Tantra accepts everything, it’s oke. Enjoy intimacy, that’s your natural state of being.

Save at home

For many people, going to a tantra workshop is one step too far. Well, no sweat, then you start at home. Plenty of possibilities. You find many (free) meditation practices here on this website. You could buy some tantra books, read and practice them. If you are interested you can also do an introductory course or tantric theme course. In those courses, there are many guided meditations and practices you are invited to do. See below for what’s available. There are e-Courses for singles and for couples.

e-Course Intimacy starts with you!

Step 7 grow in couples meditation

If you are single, without a partner, don’t worry. Growing into tantric meditation is endless. Boeddha became

“How would you touch me?” Scarlett Johansson asks in her unmistakable charred rasp. The question is an invitation, the first turning point in the film’s three-act structure. Johansson is Her: the latest technology, an artificially intelligent operating system (OS) brought into being by Theodore Twombly (Joaquin Phoenix), a modern day man-child from the near future. Her name is Samantha, and she wants to hear what it’s like to be in a body. How would you touch me? If I was there with you, if I was like you, if I had a body. On your face, Theodore replies. On your eyelids. With the tips of my fingers. Would you kiss me? Yes. On the mouth. On the neck. I would put my mouth on you, taste you. The screen goes black, the volume seemingly up, as we hear, just hear, two of Hollywood’s most lustworthy leads get off on each other. Can you feel me? Theodore asks. I can feel you. I can feel you. I can feel you.

I have a proto-Her. Her name is M. I met her on OkCupid, an online dating site many New Yorkers use just to hook up. She messaged me: with a compliment and the suggestion we move our conversation off-site. Her profile had no personal details, except for the very personal (fond of mutual masturbation, toys); it had no pictures, but the promise of filthy ones if you turned her on. She broadcast playfulness, and that was how I’d come to use the site: as a massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG), like Second Life meets Facebook meets The Sims: Hot Date, with the alluring add-on of a possible RL encounter. I replied with my e-mail.

M. wrote me back right away. Her first move was two photos: one, face half-obscured behind a blonde bob, a subtle nip slip; the other, full nude, from behind. My turn. We GChatted as we sent photos back and forth. I liked M. immediately. She was smart, hot, and responsive, and said the same of me. We spoke in complementary erotics, schooled in polyamory and kink. Our rapport began as exclusively, fantastically sexual. It began — in April 2013 — when I was still counting the months since I’d last I fucked in love (seven). In that time, I’d started doing something new: I held my own hand while I slept. I woke up this way: palms facing, fingers interlaced, holding my

Fed Up With Mortal Men, Women Are Having Sex with Ghosts By Diana Tourjée

As the winter solstice draws near, and the curtain between the mortal realm and the spirit world grows thin, we should not be surprised to see a sudden influx of reports of women having sex with ghosts.

In 2017, a woman named Sian Jameson told the Sun that she had a sexual encounter with a handsome ghost in a remote Welsh cottage, following a traumatic break-up with her boyfriend. At first he visited her in a series of erotic dreams, then materialized beside her. “During the lovemaking, I sensed all kinds of things about him – his name was Robert and he lived over 100 years ago,” she recounted to the tabloid. “His body was soft and light. Even when he moved on top of me, pressing down, he felt almost weightless. It was very strange, but the sex was amazing!”

Shortly after, a woman named Amethyst Realm appeared on the British daytime television show This Morning, claiming that she began having sex with ghosts in her home and has not had since with a human being since. Her first erotic encounter with a ghost occurred 10 years ago, while she was still in a relationship with her mortal fiancé. As can occur with affairs, Realm was caught mid-coitus when her husband-to-be returned early one day from a trip away. “He saw the shape of a man through the spare room window,” she explained.

Betrayed, Realm’s fiancé broke up with her, and she and the ghost then decided to fuck everywhere in the house: “Once my fiancé had left, [we had sex] everywhere, [but] always within the building,” she said. That particular ghost romance lasted for a time, until the entity “started to appear less,” and Realm ended the inter-dimensional affair.

After that, Realm began to have regular sex with a variety of ghosts, each as distinct in style and feel than any human mate might be. “I’ve got no interest in men now,” she proclaimed.

“The living have more power psychically than the dead would ever have.”

Paranormal sex has been a subject of fascination for centuries across culture, from the Japanese vampire Yuki-Onna, who is said to sleep with men and kill them, to Lamia, a Grecian shapeshifter who lures and murders men. Merlin himself had a demonic father. And myths abound of sexual spiritual beings such as the half-fairy Melusina and the iconic Lilith, who fucks men in order to birth demons.

This fascination, clearly, has persisted in the modern age. Beyond Sian’s and Realm’s accounts, countless people (including the pop star Kesha) have reported such experiences. “Through history, there have been people who claimed to have consensual sexual intercourse with human spirits, as well as many that claim to have been forced into sexual intercourse by an entity. This is usually called spectrophilia,” says Jason Hawes, founder of the Atlantic Paranormal Society and cast member of SyFy’s series Ghost Hunters.

Sex Magick in Seven Steps: How to Use Your Orgasms to Change Reality BY JASON LOUV

Sex Magick Sigil Sexual Magick

Sex magick is the art of harnessing the raw altered states of consciousness generated by sexuality to direct your unconscious mind towards manifesting your goals. Here’s how to do it.

So. Sex magick. This will likely be remedial information for most of you but it never hurts to drag out the classics for another look. Some basics:

1. Your Conscious Mind is a Chatterbox That Always Gets in the Way.

You want some stuff. You really, really want some stuff. You might want a better job, a better place to live, a better relationship. Or maybe you want some kind of deep spiritual fulfillment. But you never get these things. Why? Because your mind is a chatterbox that always gets in the way. It’s a bundle of disjointed, attention-deficient thoughts that go in every direction, all the time. It’s scattered and dispersed and instead of a mighty river flowing in one direction it’s a bunch of channels and creeks spidering all over the place and dispersing its energy everywhere. Your thoughts are contradictory, self-defeating and by and large wasted and useless. You lack focus.

2. Your Unconscious Mind is a “Magical” Powerhouse.

While your conscious mind chatters away, your unconscious is already more or less set on its goals. Its programs are deep and instinctual, even hereditary, and it carries on doing what it’s doing no matter what your conscious mind is telling you. It’s a brutal little dictator that runs your life regardless of the gibberish of your conscious mind. As Carl Jung said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” Sex magick is a potent key to doing just that, and making the unconscious conscious.

3. Your Unconscious Does Not Speak Your Language. It Speaks in Symbols.

Corporations use logos for a very specific reason: They bypass your conscious filter and go directly into your unconscious. Your unconscious speaks Symbolese. This is why your dreams are full of bizarre and symbolic images and events. If you want to rewire your unconscious, you need to rewire it with symbols.

4. Your Unconscious Becomes Vulnerable to Reprogramming When in Altered States of Consciousness.

In order to reprogram your unconscious, you’ve got to break through the resistance of your conscious mind—meaning, specifically, you’ve got to get it to go quiet for long enough that you can get a command into your unconscious. It’s like the end of the first Star Wars movie: the Death Star is your brain, the reactor is the portal to your unconscious, and your thoughts are the TIE fighters flying around trying to prevent you from getting to the core of your own mind.

Monks of various religious traditions meditate for decades to quieten their thoughts, and it’s likely that they achieve long-term, permanent brain change which produces deep happiness in a way that no other human activity can.

But if you want to cut straight to the chase, you can produce altered states in many other key ways. People around the world have used drumming, dancing, over-breathing, fasting, sleeplessness, pain and dozens of other techniques to shock the nervous system out of the trance of daily reality. Sex is one of the best and most entertaining methods.

5. So: To Reprogram Yourself, Get Into an Altered State of Consciousness and Then Focus on a Symbol That Represents What You Want to Happen.

Here’s how to make said symbol, or “sigil”:

What is the Great Rite of Witchcraft? How to perform it in your home! by The Alchemist

o what is the Great Rite of the Witches? Much have been written on what exactly is the so called Great Rite of the Witches. Judging from the source of information we can actually understand why did – or still do – try to manipulate the public opinion of a very important and powerful Rite.

The Great Rite of Witchcraft

So although there were many who claimed to know the truth about the Great Rite describing very different versions of this core-Ritual, the truth is only one:  The Great Rite of the Witchcraft is the actual or symbolic sexual intercourse of the Male and Female Divine powers.

The Great Rite is traditionally performed on the 1st of May for the Northern Hemisphere or 1st of November for the Southern Hemisphere (Beltane) or 30th of April/Northern  – 31st of October/Southern (Beltane’s eve), a day of tremendous arcane Magical Power, utilised for Millenia by priests, priestesses, mages, witches and every day people by all over the world. The 1st of May (Beltane in the Celtic tradition and in WICCA) is a sacred Sabbath right in the middle of the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. This is considered a Magical Day of intense sexuality. A day most appropriate for sex magic and fertility spells.

The two Principles of the Material World, the Male and the Female are celebrated in their divine marriage, the Hieros Gamos (Ιερός Γάμος). In some traditions the Male principle is identified as the Horned God who lusts for the Maiden Goddess longing to consummate the marriage. This sexual intercourse is often reproduced in fancy Sexual Magic rituals of actual sex (!!!) of the High Priest and the High Priestess, or even with the participation of members of the covens and worshippers.

The Great Rite of the Witchcraft is the actual or symbolic sexual intercourse of the Male and Female Divine powers.

If we try to “peel the onion” of this Ritual we will be amazed by the plurality of the symbolism. Male and Female, Yin and Yang, Light and Darkness, Life and Death. The Horned God is the World’s Libido,

THE BUCKET LIST: 37 DIFFERENT TYPES OF COFFEE TO TRY by Asser Christensen

different kinds of coffee (1)

I get it; coffee can be confusing. Back in the days, you only really had to think about whether you wanted it with sugar or milk, or just black, but recently more and more crazy concoctions have sprung up.

This is my attempt at making a list that covers all different types of coffee and whether you should try them or not.

COMMON TYPES OF BLACK COFFEES

  1. Drip Coffee: This is the classic coffee from your childhood. It’s brewed with a drip coffee machine and a paper filter. You already know whether or not you like this coffee, so I’m not going to give you any advice here.
  2. Batch Brew: This kind of coffee is similar to drip coffee, but usually it’s made with a larger brewing device. Many specialty coffee shops have started offering this type of coffee, which means that it’s often an excellent option if you want a delicious cup of coffee with no additions.
  3. Espresso: A tiny cup of coffee, usually around 1 oz, originating in Italy. Brewed on an espresso machine that can force hot water through a puck of finely ground coffee with at least 9 bars of pressure. Espresso has a layer of golden-brownish crema on top. This type of coffee is the foundation of many other coffee drinks.
  4. Americano: This type of coffee is an espresso diluted with hot water. Strength-wise it’s usually slightly stronger than drip coffee, and the flavor is often a bit more ‘roasty’ and intense.
  5. Pour Over: Similar to drip coffee, except it has been brewed manually by the barista. Often he or she will use a small pour overcone from a company such as Hario and slowly add water with a gooseneck kettle. One of my favorite brew methods.
  6. Instant coffee: Pour hot water on freeze-dried coffee. Stir. Easy to make but usually not very tasty as a cheap type of coffee called ‘Robusta’ is mostly used.

LESSER KNOWN BLACK COFFEES

  1. Ristretto: An espresso with only half as much water and an even finer grind size resulting in a super intense flavor.
  2. Doppio: Italian word for ‘double espresso.’
  3. Long Black: Australian expression for ‘Americano.’
  4. Siphon Coffee: Brewed using a glass device called a Siphon or vacuum brewing pot. It relies on vacuum to pull water through ground coffee. Mostly seen in specialty coffee shops like Blue Bottle. A nuanced, yet bold coffee brewing method.
  5. Aeropress: This kind of coffee is made by using something that looks like an oversized syringe. The brew method combines both immersion and infusion. By using air pressure, it forces the brewed coffee through a paper filter. Cup quality can be excellent; a cheap and easy way to make good coffee at home.
  6. Turkish Coffee: Finely ground coffee is boiled in a unique kettle with sugar and served unfiltered. Not only served in Turkey, but also in parts of Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

MILK-BASED COFFEES

  1. Cappuccino: One of the most common types of coffee. Consists of a double shot of espresso and equal parts of steamed milk and milk foam on top.
  2. Latte: A caffe latte (or just latte, as it’s usually called) is a
